London Calling

So we finished up in Amsterdam. Four crazy days of fun. On Saturday we flew to London, lugged our bags through the underground, and ended up meeting up with mum again and crashing out in Paddington at the place of the son of a friend of a friend of mums. Or something like that.
Slept. Woke up early Sunday morning. Went to
The Church. Drank. Danced to crap music. Met a whole bunch of Aussies. Went home and slept.
After recovering from that; Ed, Jeremy and I spent the next three days doing the full tourist trip of London. Sights seen include: Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abby, National Museum, etc. etc. etc.
It was pretty full on, but great to do considering I have been living in the UK for almost a year but still hadn't done all the London touristy stuff. Ed and Jeremy loved it as well.
On the Tuesday I ducked out of the Tower of London early to meet up with Sarah for lunch. It was good seeing her again and catching up on what she has been up to. I didn't meet up with anyone else while I was in London, we were so busy, but I glad I organised a little time out.
So London is done, and we are now in Milton Keynes with my cousin Simone. We will be here for the next couple of days, over the Christmas period. I am really happy I'll be spending Christmas with my family. There is an uninterrupted line of Christmases for my bothers and mum and I. We have never been apart yet, and I didn't want to be the reason for this to stop. Next year I guess I'll just have to go back home for Christmas to keep the tradition alive.
So Merry Christmas to everyone and if I don't get to write another entry before then, have a Happy New Year too!!

So I met up with my mum and brothers in Paris safe and sound. It was great to see them again. I also managed to catch up with Ads and Jimmy the Hacker!
We are in Amsterdam now, all of us except for mum. It's a heap of fun, though the time here went so quickly. It's our last night already and tomorrow we are off flying to London. I am taking my brothers to The Church on Sunday though, so that should be fantastic.
Anyway I am using the free internet in the Flying Pig Downtown hostel. The pot is thick in the air, this place is great.
Peace out!

I haven't got long to talk.
I am flying to Paris tomorrow where I'll meet up with my mother and brother's, whom I haven't seen since leaving Australia back in January this year. Then I am spending a couple of days with them, then going with my brothers to Amsterdam for a few days, then meeting back up with Mum is London for a few days, then spending Chirstmas in Milton Keynes with my cousin, then spending New Years in Liverpool with my other cousin, and then finally back here to Nottingham to do exams.
So if I don't post for a while that's why. Now I am running stupidly late so I've got to go!

Insomnia
I've had a crazy week. Monday night was Judge Jules, Tuesday night was utterly sleepless and totally enriching, Wednesday night was Christmas clubbing at The Works and tonight... well tonight I am going to see Faithless play live at the Nottingham Arena! All the while I am trying to finish off two
very large course work reports (the Digital Business Communication one is approaching 35 pages now, while the Computer Security one is pushing 60!). That hasn’t stopped me though from enjoying my last week in Nottingham for this year. I’ve just had to cut back on a few non-essentials, such as sleep. I exhausted, but not tired at all!
Faithless! I can’t wait! I know the gig is going to be fantastic. I’ve just got another couple of hours to kill before I meet up with my friends and we head off to a classic performance.
Written while listening to even single Faithless album I've got.

I didn't sleep at all last night.
I am glad I didn't.

Judge The Mode
Music
I am putting my coursework on hold and partying hard!
Judge Jules is coming to Nottingham!
He is playing tonight at Mode nightclub, and of course I am going to see him.
This is why I love living in the U.K.
I can go see one of the best DJs in the world, on an average night out of the week, for under five quid! How fantastic is that!

The New Era

Television
After a week off the air, the fourth episode of the O.C. season two came out. As usually we all camped out in my room to watch it. My friends back home who have only just finished season one have warned me off from putting spoilers in my posts, so I'll do my best to keep my descriptions non-descript ^_^
This is definitely the best episode so far this season. In fact I think it tops most of the episodes from last season as well. It's just so cool, a new era indeed. Everyone comes together and then goes in different directions, things turn out as you expect, but at the same time it's great when the surprises come. A fantastic episode, a new start.
Also guess what Calvin! The Killers were guest band on the O.C. this episode. They played Smile Like You Mean It, Mr. Brightside and Everything Will Be Alright. I really like the sound of the live version of Mr. Brightside. I know you are going to see The Killers live soon Calvin so you'll have to tell me what they are like.
Written while listening to The Killers - Mr Brightside (album version).

Happy Birthday Fragma!
Friends
Ah the wonders of this blog system. I can turn back time and make it appear like I didn't write this one day late!
Happy Birthday Fragma! You're now 23. Pretty boring age really. I'll be there in a couple more months. Not really looking forward to it.
I hope you had a fantastic birthday. Spent lots of money on booze, and partied hard. It was good talking to you this afternoon (or 2am in the morning in your case). Hopefully it didn't cost as much as when I talked to you when I was in Munich and you were in Fiji (or where ever you were! ^_^). At least my phone didn't run out of credit this time.
So anyway enjoy yourself mate and take care.
